Through the noise
So I’ve just spent a quick week away in Beijing with the family, and somehow managed to scratch in some doodling time in the evenings. It was amazingly difficult to hear myself think most of the time, what with the bigness of the place and the noise that somehow managed to fill that entire space. Still, I miss it somehow, and wish I could’ve spent longer there just to explore and absorb it all in.
“dont touch the mannikins! You never can tell if they’re real!”
“The man who fished for the live ones amongst the dead”
it’s wonderful how everyone gets so active after sundown! everywhere you look it’s middle-aged ladies dancing in groups or people just exercising in great sweaty masses. but there was this one lady who chose to hide in the shadow of the trees and dance by herself from across to road.
My braids drew so much attention (they’ve been thoroughly molested by countless shopkeepers) that I couldn’t help looking out for braid-buddies in the crowd.

aah, and this lady had almost the same style as mine. spotted her at the shisha place I was at (couldn’t get away from shisha for a week, it’s terrible.)

More doodles from the last day

Charlene’s amazing car…you sort of never know what it’s capable of. We drove to Aarhus to see Jody play in Crystal Sky Butterfly, had a few drinks and slept in this car. Drove back to Viborg in the morning, and the donkey’s ass became a wonderful windshield wiper.

My last night in Viborg, sitting on Morten’s half built pirate ship drinking beers. It’s going to be the best beer barge ever!

So said a Czech lady who I met in Copenhagen while waiting for the bus to Prague. I really had no idea what she was talking about. I just smiled and nodded alot.

Being a hobo at 5am in Prague, on a Thursday. The bus rolled in at 4.30am, I shivered my way to the Penzion that we last stayed at for the stop-mo puppet course, and crashed out on their sofa in the basement… until random people started smiling and greeting me on their way to breakfast.

some Czech guy sitting in a corner at the tea shop that sells teas that look like beers.
A Documentation of Unknowns
So I’ve been travelling around in the uncharted land of Europe for the last couple of weeks, and on my travels I’ve noticed some rather queer items of interest. Astonished by my findings, I decided to document them in a series of drawings of the most detailed nature.

In the next post, I shall exhibit some of the wondrous creatures I’ve met on my travels. Good Hunting, all!
